Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

In short: Jagannath Katha does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not use third-party analytics or advertising. The app works by fetching public content from our servers — it does not send any personal data about you back to us.

Jagannath Katha ("the App") is developed and maintained by an independent developer ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

We do not collect:

Information stored only on your device:

How the App Works

When you open the App, it fetches a list of available stories (titles, categories, and links to audio/image/text files) from our content delivery network. This is a standard content request, similar to loading a webpage — it does not include any information that identifies you personally.

Third-Party Services

The App's content (audio, images, story text) is delivered via a cloud content delivery network. This service delivers content on our behalf and does not receive any personal information about you through its use in this App.

Our website (jagannathkatha.uk) uses Google Analytics to understand overall visitor traffic (e.g., page views, general location, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies and does not, to our knowledge, identify you personally. You can decline this on the website via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or opt out generally using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices. The App itself does not include Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics SDK.

We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. If this changes in a future update, this policy will be updated to disclose the specific service, what data it collects, and link to that service's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for a general audience, including children, and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the App has no accounts, forms, or data entry of any kind, no personal information is collected regardless of the user's age.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information with third parties, because we do not collect any personal information in the first place.

Your Choices

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features that involve data collection (such as analytics or optional user accounts in the future). Any changes will be posted at this same URL with an updated "Last updated" date.
